This section of the site is gonna bring a little of social media in New Zealand and how the kiwis are using them.
Graphs are really good to transmit a big amount of information in a little space. This graph was taken from the SocialMedia.org.nz website.
Above are three graphs of the usage of social media in New Zealand. We can see that Facebook and YouTube are the favorites social media of the kiwis. In October of 2013 YouTube was more popular than Facebook. Wordpress, Tumblr and Linkedin are changing positions. Another curiosity is that MySpace, the "dead" social still being used in New Zealand.
We can think that a small country like New Zealand do not affect the social media usage in other country. But it is a big mistake. Recently, in October 2013, a lot of people on Facebook started to change their profile picture and changing a photo to a giraffe's face. The Great Giraffe Challenge, promoted by New Zealand YouTuber Andrew Strungell, was a game going viral on Facebook that proposes the following riddle:

A small country with less than five million people did something that impact the global social media. Other global impact that happened was the World First BMX Triple backflip done by Jed Mildon in May of 2011. The video on YouTube has almost 10 million viewers.
